CSR policy

Our company has the mission to "grow into a suggestion-giving company" and we aim to form a team that can give suggestions and take spontaneous action being conscious of "going from half to full steps."
As a corporation and as employees, we positively fulfill our responsibilities to society through corporate management and a range of activities, and we work with a sense of pride to achieve trust through our implication of each activity.
CSR activities are the very philosophy of our corporate management. We stand on our stakeholders positions when conducting corporate activities.

CSR approach

Through the practice of CSR, we seek to embody our company's philosophy. We believe that to rise the general level of CSR activities means not only to improve our ability, but also to approach our vision.
Our company is positioned on two wheels, one is CSR as a social organization, and the other is CSR by each single employee to promote our CSR activities.

Organization's CSR -CSR activities promotion following our business activities-

Our company bases its management's core on CSR, and for us its promotion following our business activities is something we regard as most important.
Our company's midterm plan represents our vision for the future, which basically requires setting policies and implementation plans to achieve it.

When presenting the vision of our midterm plan, we set clear midterm plan targets, looking not only at our business challenges but also at CSR focus points.
We take action with the aim of achieving these targets, and CSR activities are developed in the center of the management cycle through which the results of our achievements are evaluated.

CSR focus points included in the achievement of our midterm plan targets are linked to our responses to social demands and also promote the further application of our company's corporate philosophy.

Global Human Rights Policy

Basic Approach to Respect Human Rights

Advancing human rights and
responsible labor practices

We will foster an inclusive culture in which all Bridgestone entities and locations adopt and apply ethical labor practices, build trust with our teammates, and model our respect for diversity and human rights.

In 2018 the Bridgestone Group issued its "Global Human Rights Policy".
This policy establishes the standards and actions that Asahi Carbon as a member of the Bridgestone Group must observe in conducting business activities with respect for human rights and diversity in our community.
The policy was revised in May 2022 to demonstrate a stronger commitment to respect human rights set by international standards.
The policy defines human rights practices in five specific focus areas: respect for diversity and inclusion, prohibition of discrimination and harassment, focus on workplace safety and health, commitment to responsible labor practices and protection of free speech and association.
These focus areas are closely related to the Bridgestone Group "Code of Conduct" and "Global Sustainable Procurement Policy" and are addressed in all daily business affairs.
