When making carbon black, by-product gas is generated in addition to carbon black.
The bag filter (upstream side) separates and collects this by-product gas and carbon black.
The by-product gas separated here is effectively used as fuel for power plants and manufacturing processes, and the surplus by-product gas is burned in the flare stack.
